Nice to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself...

 

I specialize in non-fiction storytelling. I'm the type of producer that can generate original ideas by finding unique characters at the heart of interesting worlds. From reimagining existing formats to shepherding concepts from development through post production, I bring 10+ years of diverse producing and casting experience to every project I take on. My track record includes successfully developing two original series for the History Channel and National Geographic. 

When I'm not working in development, I'm directing camera as a field producer. I've worked across a wide range of productions from directing multi camera shoots on big budget series to serving as one part of a two person crew on micro budget documentaries.. My long form field production work includes medical mysteries, environmental disasters, new technologies, cowboy competitions, families struggling with addiction and a follow doc on gold miners near the Arctic Circle. Recently, I've become increasingly interested in short form digital docs. My work in this space includes several shorts for the History Now series and several independent documentary shorts.

As an experienced freelancer, I recognize the importance of a strong community. I'm an active member of The Video Consortium, The Media Mavens and I make regular appearances at Doc NYC and Hot Docs pro panels whenever possible. I conscientiously stay on top of trends in the industry. 

I'm open to collaborations and believe in the importance of passion fueled side projects.

Field Producer.     True Life: My Parent is Addicted to Opioids.   Documented the life of an 18 year-old struggling to come to terms with her mother’s opiate addiction. In this role, I secured access to film in the Clackamus county court room and navigated challenging family dynamics during a sensitive time.

Field Producer    Monsters Inside Me Season 7   Researched medical mysteries and prepared shooting scripts for network approval. I then led a small field team and conducted in-depth interviews with the survivors of life threatening infections as well as the doctors that saved them.

Producer    Motherboard VICELAND pilot   During a 6 month rigorous period of development, I directed a multi-camera crew. Stories ranged from highly politicized gun technology to robotic exoskeletons utilizing brain-machine interfaces.

Development & Field Producer    Yukon Gold, Sizzle & Season 1   While scouting for talent near the Arctic Circle, I successfully negotiated sensitive access issues in order to shoot a sizzle. The series was approved and my role continued from development into the production period. As a Field Producer, I tracked stories, created scenes and conducted interviews.
